The Community Advisory Board (CAB) focuses on providing community input and guidance on research activities to ensure they are culturally appropriate and beneficial to the community. It serves as a bridge between HHR and the community, facilitating the exchange of insights and addressing community concerns.
The CAB-Harar members held a quarterly meeting on November 07 2024. During the meeting the members had fruitful discussions on the progress of ongoing projects and new studies.
The SALT project team provided updates on their study and shared the challenges they faced during data collection. CAB-Harar members, with their invaluable insights, offered recommendations to address these challenges. A comprehensive discussion was also had on the newly launched RSV surveillance study at Hiwot Fana Comprehensive Specialized University Hospital.
Lastly, the participants expressed their appreciation for the advancements made in HHR and commitment to support HHR’s activities.
