Project Summary
Decolonizing Peace Education in Africa Gender Based Violence and Health in Ethiopia (DEPA) is a completed research project aimed to contribute to improving maternal and child health by offering young people opportunities to learn strategies to avoid violence. It explored how people experience and narrate gender-based violence to build an understanding of how it affects health. The project involved working with a local NGO in Harar, eastern Ethiopia, to conduct research primarily among women who have experienced gender-based violence.
