Advocacy

HHR prioritizes maternal and child health advocacy and ensures effective communication with the community about its activities. To achieve this, the initial step was to conduct formative research to understand the community’s cultural and religious values related to maternal and child health. HHR employs various approaches to advocate for maternal and child health, including:

Health Education

Mass media engagements

The goal is to ensure clear, respectful, and culturally sensitive communication to build trust, address misconceptions, and foster community acceptance.

Theatre for Development, a participatory theatre performance that HHR facilitates based on its findings to promote awareness, and behavioural change on maternal and child health

HHR provides interactive, engaging, and community-focused health education sessions on maternal and child health starting from individual households and extending to the larger community.

Mass media engagements, based on its research findings, HHR organizes live-streams and recorded television and radio sessions, inviting experts to provide in-depth explanations aimed at improving maternal and child health.
