HHR recognizes the critical importance of sharing data on maternal and child health to drive global health improvements. Collaborate with esteemed organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO), UNICEF, and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). By providing them with comprehensive data, HHR aims to contribute to the global understanding of maternal and child health and influence international health policies.
National
At the national level, HHR actively share findings with key stakeholders in the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. HHR’s partnerships with Ministry of Health and Ethiopian Public Health Institute enable us to align research with national health priorities and strategies. Additionally, HHR work closely with the Health Bureaus of Oromia and Harari regional states to ensure that its data informs regional health initiatives and resource allocation
Community
Recognizing the vital role of local communities, households in catchment area are integral stakeholders in its mission. HHR engage with these families to gather insights, understand their challenges, and share its findings. This grassroots approach not only enriches HHR’s data but also influence health seeking behaviour, and empowers communities to take an active role in improving their health outcomes. By fostering a collaborative relationship with local households, HHR enhance the relevance and impact of its research.
Health Facilities
HHR is working with different public and private health facilities in Harar, Haramaya and Kersa including; Hiwot Fana Comprehensive Specialized University Hospital (HFCSUH), Haramaya General Hospital, Jugol General Hospital and 18 public health centers, and 38 health posts in the catchment area.
