Social and Behavioural Science
The Social and Behavioural Science (SBS) section plays a vital role in fostering smooth relationship between the community and HHR. The team employs a variety of community engagement techniques, such as discussions with religious and village leaders, recruiting community health volunteers, establishing Community Advisory Boards (CAB), organizing participatory community theatre (TfD), broadcasting radio programs, coordinating health outreach campaigns, hosting community discussions to familiarize the community with HHR activities. Additionally, the SBS team leads qualitative research activities, including conducting rapid assessments for various studies and collecting qualitative data through focus group discussions, key informant interviews, and observations.
SBS team is structured with four key roles: Social and Behavioural Science Research Coordinator, Assistant Research Coordinator for Community Engagement, Assistant Research Coordinator for Mass Media and Communication, Assistant Research Coordinator for Theatre for Development, two Research Assistants and four Community Field Workers.
