HHR and Haramaya General Hospital hold an Infection Prevention and Control Week
As part of our 10th anniversary celebrations, HHR continues to mark this milestone alongside the partners who make our work possible.
On October 21st–22nd, we teamed up with Haramaya General Hospital for an Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Week, focused on safer care for patients and health workers alike. The campaign centered on hand hygiene, proper cleaning and disinfection, and preventing healthcare-associated infections, with special attention to the Pediatric Emergency Unit, NICU, and Obstetrics and Maternity wards. During the week, 35 staff members were trained in IPC, including 15 clinical and 20 supporting staff, and more than 40 participants joined deep-cleaning activities in high-risk areas, showing real teamwork and a shared commitment to safer healthcare environments.
We thank the Haramaya General Hospital team for their partnership and dedication.
